The president of the Cuban Football Federation, Oliet Rodriguez Mendez, held a meeting with His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, president of the Qatar Football Association, in the context of his visit to Doha to participate in the FIFA 72nd Congress.
The occasion was an opportunity to share national experiences in the development of soccer and the work of each institution. The President of the Cuban Football Federation congratulated Qatar for hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup and praised the excellent organization of the tournament. The President of the Qatar Football Association thanked his Cuban counterpart for his visit and expressed his willingness to support the strengthening of sports ties between the two countries.
Both parties agreed to undertake collaborative actions.
