Cuban Foreign Minister begins official visit to Barbados

BARBADOS, June 17, 2019.- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, began this Monday an official visit to Barbados, as part of a tour to Caribbean countries.

The Cuban Foreign Minister will start with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Martyrs of Barbados, which will also be attended by collaborators and Cubans residents in this Caribbean nation.

During his stay, the Cuban diplomat will hold meetings with governor general, Dame Sandra Prunella Mason, Prime Minister, H.E. Mrs. Mia Motley, and Foreign Minister, Jerome Walcott, among other government authorities and officials.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Cuba and Barbados maintain positive bilateral ties based in the principles of solidarity, friendship and cooperation.
