The enrichment of the main arms manufacturing companies in the world and its negative consequences for peace on the planet were denounced this Tuesday by the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez.
In his account on the social network Twitter, the Minister of Foreign Affairs warned that according to international press reports, "the value of the 10 arms companies with the highest sales in the world, five of them American, increased by 18.1 percent in 2022 compared to to 2021”.
That percentage represents about 98 billion dollars, according to the Mexican newspaper La Jornada, to which the Cuban headline alluded.
Regarding this situation, he pointed out that "because of the priority that this lucrative business receives, the peoples and world peace suffer."
