Cuban Jazz Takes Center Stage at Blues Alley During Cuban Culture Month

Washington, D.C. The legendary Blues Alley jazz club will once again host a series of concerts dedicated to Cuban jazz, featuring six outstanding artists in celebration of Cuban Culture Month.

The program will open on October 10 with the Akokán Orchestra and continue through October 15, showcasing the talents of Melvis Santa, Kemuel Roig, Kali Rodríguez-Peña, and Dayramir González. The series will conclude with a performance by Chuchito Valdés.

With this initiative, Blues Alley offers audiences in the U.S. capital an entire week to explore the richness of the jazz scene in Cuba, featuring performers from different generations and musical styles.

The Cuban Embassy expressed its gratitude to Blues Alley for this initiative and its recognition of the Embassy’s work, and extended an invitation to the community to enjoy these evenings of music.
