Cuban Medical Brigade in Belize takes stock of the work of the year 2024.

Belize City, November 30, 2024.- Dedicated to honoring the Day of Latin American Medicine and the 34th anniversary of the beginning of Cuban medical collaboration in this sister country, the balance of the work of the medical brigade during 2024 was developed.

Dr. María del Carmen Lozada Concepción, national coordinator of the BMC, made an exhaustive presentation of the main aspects and results of the work of the health group that provides its services in all districts of the country.

The report presented led to an interesting and in-depth discussion among the participants aimed at continuing to raise the technical and professional level of our white-coated heroes and excellence in public health services to the Belizean people.

Collective and individual recognitions were given to the most outstanding during the year 2024.

Cuban Ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada, in her concluding remarks, highlighted the results achieved and the need to continue paying attention to teacher improvement, scientific research and excellence in services to continue raising the principle of solidarity and humanism that characterizes our people as taught by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. 

The work carried out by Dr. María del Carmen Lozada Concepción as national coordinator of the BMC, who will soon conclude her mission, was recognized.
