CUBAN MEDICAL BRIGADE IN DOMINICA WILL DEVELOP SCIENTIFIC DAY WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF NATIVE PROFESSIONALS

Roseau, April 8, 2019. The Health Collaborators Brigade in Dominica will hold a Scientific Day on May 11, 2019. This was announced at the last work meeting held by this group of professionals who provide their health services in this sister nation.

Dr. Manuel Lara Martín, second brigade chief, who is in charge of the organization of the scientific event, informed that on this occasion, the event will be conducted entirely in english, with the aim of encouraging the participation of professionals from the sector of health in Dominica. To date, several works have already been presented, some of which have the participation of dominicans.

The Ambassador of Cuba to the island, Ulises Arranz Fernández, who was present at the meeting, praised the initiative to hold the event in the native language and said that the work that is presented in addition to collecting the scientific contribution should reflect the impact that has had Cuban medical attention in the population, whose results can be seen in the statistics systematically offered by the leadership of the brigade headed by Dr. Isolina López Cardoso.
