Cuban medical brigades in Belize begin regional scientific conferences.

Orange Walk, April 6, 2024.- The Ernesto Che Guevara and Simón Bolivar Medical Brigades, belonging to the northern health region, held their scientific day dedicated to honoring the 63rd anniversary of the Victory of Playa Girón.
4 works were presented, linked to the specialties of psychiatrist, surgery and pediatrics, which were characterized by high scientific rigor, where the importance of the work carried out in this sister nation by the heroes in white coats was revealed.
At the conclave, he highlighted the presentation of work carried out by Cubans and Belizeans, who put great effort into elevating the assistance work for the benefit of this brother people.
During the event there was a fruitful exchange between the participants, the generalization of the best experiences and various proposals in order to raise the quality of health services.
3 prizes and a mention were awarded, their authors received incentives and recognition diplomas.
The Cuban ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada, in summarizing the activity, expressed her satisfaction with the novelty of the topics presented, the rigor and quality of the work and the assistance of the Cuban and Belizean health personnel, who in their daily work work to raise the quality of life of the people.
Present were Ladrick Sheppard, mayor of Orange Walk, Perlita Aldana, president of the Medical and Dental Association of Belize, regional health authorities, Gustavo Aguinaga Linares, Cuban consul, Dr. María del Carmen Lozada Concepción, national coordinator of the BMC, Cuban collaborators and Belizean health personnel.
