The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba reports that malicious actors have recently compromised its official YouTube channel. This incident is a clear act of cybercrime and is part of a broader pattern of digital harassment that Cuban institutions have consistently denounced.
The Ministry strongly condemns this cyberattack and asserts that any content posted during the time the channel was compromised does not reflect the views of the Cuban Government, this Ministry, or any other Cuban institution.
Currently, coordinated efforts are underway with relevant technical authorities to regain full control of the channel, enhance its security measures, and prevent future incidents of this nature.
We reiterate our firm rejection of such unlawful practices and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to defending the truth and safeguarding Cuba's sovereign voice across all digital platforms.
