Cuban musical group arrives in South Africa to participate in the International Art Alive Festival

Pretoria, September 30, 2019.- Today, the Cuban Jazz group “Madre Tierra”, headed by saxophonist Michel Herrera, arrived in South Africa to participate in the renowned “Art Alive” Festival, which will take place next Sunday, September 1 in the city of Johannesburg.

For the first time, Cuba will be represented in this popular international event, attended by about 20,000 people annually.

The Cuban group will develop a varied subsequent program, which includes other presentations in the South African cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria; acting on radio and television programs and will also participate in a workshop on Cuban music sponsored by the Morris Morrisson Community Musical Center, in the historic town of Soweto.
