Dublin, March 16, 2024. As a sign of the close relations between Cuba and Ireland, the highest Cuban authorities, headed by the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent congratulatory messages to the Irish government and people, in occasion of its National Day.
In the message from the Cuban president, addressed to the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, the will to continue strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between both countries is ratified.
Messages to the same effect were also received from the Cuban Prime Minister and from the Foreign Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, respectively, addressed to their Irish counterparts, Leo Eric Varadkar TD and Micheál Martin TD.
