The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, sent a message of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, after learning of the tragedy caused by the fire and subsequent collapse of the emblematic building of the Plasco Trade Center in Tehran.
The Cuban president lamented the death of Iranian citizens, as well as the human and material damage caused by this terrible accident. He also requested to convey his condolences to the relatives of the victims.
On January 19th, the 12-storey building belonging to the textile company Plasco collapsed totally, after a fire consumed all its stores. The blaze could not be controlled by the personnel of 10 fire stations of Tehran, reason why the edifice fell, causing dozens of victims and wounded.
