Pretoria, August 23, 2023 - Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who is visiting South Africa, held a fruitful meeting with the leaders of the tripartite government alliance, made up by the African National Congress (ANC), the Communist Party (SACP) and the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU).
From the South African side, Fikile Mbalula, secretary general of the ANC; Solly Mapaila, general secretary of the SACP; and Mike Shingange, deputy president of COSATU, attended. South Africa's Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa also participated in the meeting.
The Cuban president thanked the leaders for the unconditional support shown by these organizations to the Cuban people in their just struggle against the criminal economic and commercial blockade of the United States.
