Sydney, September 9, 2019.- As part of the 14th edition of the Sydney Latin American Film Festival (SLAFF 2019), the Cuban film "Mantis Nest" was presented with two functions. This fiction feature film directed by Cuban filmmaker Arturo Soto in 2018, managed to capture the attention of the Australian public, as well as a representation of the Cuban community residing in Sydney who did not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy Cuban cinema on this far away land.
This film will compete for the Jury Prize for Best Film, awarded by a panel formed by experts from the Australian film industry.
The Sydney Latin American Film Festival is a non-profit organization in which volunteers and collaborators who participate and commit themselves to its annual development, presenting a selection of the highest quality of Latin American cinema, along with a wide range of events, including live music, discussion panels and forums with guest directors. The festival will be presented from September 4 to September 21.
