Cuban residents in Dominica demand the end of the blockade against Cuba

Roseau, January 30, 2022. As part of the actions that are being carried out today in various parts of the world against the inhuman, illegal and immoral economic, financial and commercial blockade of the US government against the People of Cuba, the Cubans residing in Dominica issued the following Statement:

Statement of Cubans residing in Dominica.

Today, a new day against the US government's blockade of the people of Cuba is being held in several cities around the world. There are several actions that are being carried out to demand that the government of President Biden put end to this policy that intends to subjugate to the people of Cuba, due to the limitations that it imposes in all spheres of life. There are many voices that are raised to express in caravans, in statement, in messages on social networks their rejection of this genocidal policy.

At a time when the world continues to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and solidarity and cooperation should prevail to confront it, the US government is determined to destabilize the system of government chosen freely and sovereignly by our people, keeping the blockade intact and promoting destabilizing actions against Cuba.

However, despite this intense blockade, our country is capable of creating vaccines to combat COVID-19, thanks to the Cuban scientists created by the Revolution, and is looking for alternatives to continue obtaining new achievements.

Cubans residing in Dominica, as part of the heroic people of Cuba and proud to defend the country that saw us born, join all the voices in the world that demand end to the blockade. The blockade must cease to allow our country to develop and Cubans living abroad to help their families.
