In the afternoon of December 4, an act of remembrance and tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz was held at the Cuban Embassy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in which participated the Cuban residents, a representation of Cuban collaborators in health care, the Ambassador of Venezuela, H.E Yuri Pimentel and the officials of that diplomatic mission, as well as the H.E Dexter Rose, former Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Cuba.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, made an introduction in which she referred to the life, work, legacy and immense personality of Fidel and emphasized the importance of his teaching becoming a source of permanent reference, to face the present and future challenges.
During the combative act, those present recalled facets of Fidel's life, pondered his example and his untiring struggle for the ideals of justice, equality and full dignity of man; his role in the development of sport culture, health, education in Cuba and many corners of the world; his anti-imperialism, his internationalism and his care for disarmament and world peace.
