Cuban water resources cooperators arrive in South Africa

Pretoria, August 19, 2020.- Today 23 Cuban specialists from the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources arrived in South Africa, at the request of the government of this sister African country to assist in the more effective exploitation of water resources and in the maintenance and sanitation infrastructure.; as well as in the development of capacities through the training and support of local personnel, to jointly solve the challenges in water and sanitation that South Africa faces today.

The arrival of the Cuban experts was agreed as part of the implementation of the new Cooperation Agreement between the governments of the two countries in the fields of Water Resources and Water Supply, signed on February 6, 2020 by the Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation of South Africa, Lindiwe Sisulu and the Ambassador of Cuba Rodolfo Benítez Verson.
