Sydney, August 8, 2023. Young Cubans Ivan Ernesto Barreto and Marianniz Díaz, participated in an exchange with students and professors of the University of Sydney. During the meeting, they discussed various topics of the Cuban reality, in particular the impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years, as well as the efforts of the Revolution and the Cuban people to resist it.
A dissertation was also made on Cuba's advances in the biotechnological field, particularly the results obtained during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the creation of 5 vaccine candidates to face the disease.
The occasion was also an opportunity to end the day by paying homage to Cuba's National Hero José Martí, at the Ibero-American Plaza in that city.
