Sydney, October 11-13, 2024. During the whole weekend the 10th Casino Wheel Championship and Cuban Dance Festival was held in the city of Sydney. The Cuban community in this beautiful Australian city, led by Airagdin Pavon More (El Moro) founder of the event prepared this beautiful event where more than 10 wheels from various Australian cities participated.
The Cuban Ambassador to Australia was in charge of the inauguration of the event and dedicated a few words to the large audience present. She also recognized the effort made by the Cuban community and gave a recognition to its founder.
The winning rueda was “Buena Vista Academy”, from the city of Sydney,
The second place was “Raca-Ta” from the city of Melbourne and the third was Global Dance-Collective from the city of Brisbane.
It was an event where the Cuban culture and the most genuine of the musical and dance traditions of Cuba were promoted.
