Cubans in South Africa demand once again for the end of the blockade against Cuba

Pretoria, May 30, 2021.- Gathered in the place that pays tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, the Cubans in South Africa met again today to demand the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

On this occasion there was a march and a cultural event that included, as a special element, the tribute to José Martí whose patriotic, humanist and anti-imperialist thought constitutes a source of inspiration and guide for all Cubans.

The president of the Association of Cuban Residents in South Africa (ACRSA) Cristina Flores Fourié announced the fundraiser called by the Association to help the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in Cuba was having a positive reception. She communicated that the deadline for voluntary donations would not end today as planned but, on June 18, "in response to the request of numerous friends."
