CUBA'S AMBASSADOR TO SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES, RECEIVED BY THE DIRECTOR OF REGIONAL INTEGRATION OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The Cuban Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by Ambassador Ellsworth John, Director of Regional Integration of the Foreign Ministry of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Ambassador Ellsworth John pointed out that the recent meetings of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of States of the Caribbean East (OECS) and the Council of foreign and Community relations (COFCOR), consecutively held in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, between 8th  and 10th of  May, have highlighted the growing support for Cuba by Caribbean States as well as the interest of these Island Nations to reinforce and expand the spectrum of cooperation and mutually advantageous ties with Cuba.

The parties referred to the preparations for the forthcoming Summit of the Association of Caribbean (AEC) States, to be held in Havana between the 2nd  and 4th June, as well as the importance of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, especially in the United Nations, where every year, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines joins the international community to support the Cuban Resolution on the need to lift the economic, financial and commercial blockade , imposed by the United States on Cuba.
