Johannesburg, 11 November 2023 - The documentary "Cuba's Life Task" was presented at the Jozzi Book Fair, a cultural project located in Johannesburg's Newtown Park. The event was organised by the Gauteng branch of the Friendship Association with Cuba, FOCUS.
The objective of presenting this material, produced and released in 2021 in the framework of COP 26, was to share with the South African public the Cuban government's state plan to address climate change, in particular the processes of adaptation and mitigation.
The Cuban Embassy in Pretoria was represented by diplomats Bryan Betancourt Brito, Third Secretary in charge of political affairs, and the diplomatic attaché, Lauren Luis Acosta, who commented on the experiences acquired during 5 years of implementation of the Plan.
