Cuba's Parliament begins work prior to ordinary session.

Deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament) began today their work sessions prior to the Second Ordinary Session of the 10th Legislature, where they analyze essential issues for the Caribbean country.

This Monday, the parliamentarians will evaluate the progress of the implementation of the Policy for the attention to children, adolescents and youths, as well as the Integral Strategy for the prevention and attention to gender violence and in the family scenario.

They will analyze the State budget and other economic issues, as well as carry out acts of control over institutions.

As part of the planned schedule, they will address the epidemiological situation, the impact of new economic actors, passenger transportation and the role of schools in the transformation of communities.

In addition, the Plan for the economy and the Budget for 2024 will be presented with a view to the particular analysis of each parliamentary commission and other topics specific to them.

The debates of this Monday and Tuesday in the permanent commissions will set the stage for the Second Session of the X Legislature of the Parliament to take place in the capital's Convention Palace in the following three days.
