President Miguel Díaz-Canel today toured economic objectives in this city, as a deputy to the National Parliament, to follow up on issues of interest to the local population.
In his first stop, the president talked with Ihosvany Orozco, manager of the micro, small and medium-sized state-owned commercial enterprise Antena S.U.R.L., which manufactures professional and domestic antennas, as well as metal ladders made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), plastic and aluminum.
The businessman explained to Díaz-Canel that they also produce and export structures to support solar heaters, and are immersed in the digital television program, with an antenna production of 67,000 units of four different models planned for this year, according to the digital site Vanguardia.
Orozco informed the President that last year they produced 90 thousand antennas, which satisfies part of the demand, made by the marketing company Copextel and the Ministry of Domestic Trade.
He also said that a retail store with products and services for welding was inaugurated for the population of the central province of Villa Clara.
The head of state also arrived at the Integral Automation Enterprise (CEDAI), together with other deputies for the capital city of the territory. At the site, he checked the results of the entity in the provision of integral engineering services in automation, specialized electricity and communications networks.
He was also updated on indicators related to the provision of services for the rehabilitation of the polygraph industry, automation of farming houses, energy efficiency projects and tourism, according to the weekly newspaper on the Internet.
Díaz-Canel, accompanied by the authorities of the Party and the Government of the provincial capital, fulfills one of the assignments of the recently constituted X Legislature of the National Assembly of Cuba, oriented to follow up the meetings with voters in economic objectives, labor centers and communities of the districts they represent in the legislature.
