Melbourne, 29 July, 2023. On the evening of July 29, more than 150 people gathered at the headquarters of the Maritime Union of Australia (Victoria branch) in a beautiful Cultural Gala where anthological numbers of Cuban music such as "La guitarra" by the iconic singer-songwriter Sara Gonzalez and "Hasta siempre Comandante" by Carlos Puebla were performed.
During the Gala, the Cuban Ambassador to Cuba thanked the members of the Association of Solidarity with Cuba for their commitment and solidarity with the Revolution and the Cuban people, and at the same time she conveyed the greetings of the Cuban authorities to the solidarity movement.
The Gala was also an opportunity to offer and share information about the upcoming "southern cross" Brigade, which is reaching its 40th anniversary and which has maintained its efforts throughout the years to continue building bridges between the two nations and peoples.
