The Haragvi edition of the daily Haragvi published on the morning of July 27 a report on the demonstration of solidarity in Cyprus against the blockade in front of the US Embassy in Nicosia. The report points out that several dozens of friends in solidarity with Cuba demonstrated in front of the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia at the call of the World Federation of Trade Unions to dedicate July 26 as a day of struggle against the blockade. It should be recalled that July 26 is also the day of Cuba's National Rebellion and was the moment when Fidel, leading the centenary generation, attacked the Mocadas and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo respectively. The demonstration in Cyprus joins the international claim against the genocidal, unjust and criminal blockade policy imposed by the United States against the Cuban people and government more than 60 years ago.
