On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the attacks on Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks; the South African Association of Students Graduated in Cuban and the Friends of Cuba Society (FOCUS) organized a patriotic event to celebrate the Day of National Rebelliousness.
More than 200 friends coming from both associations and the academic, political, diplomatic, cultural sectors and others, joined the representatives of the Cuban state mission in South Africa in this event, which became an important grandstand of support for the Cuban Revolution and especially in rejection to the United States’ blockade against Cuba and the illegal occupation of the Guantánamo Naval Base.
Minister Counselor of the Cuban Embassy, Rebeca Hernández, representatives of the Association of Graduates, FOCUS and the South African Communist Party, highlighted with emotional interventions the historic importance of the date for the Cuban and worldwide commitment to continue the support for the Cuban Revolution initiated on January 1st, 1959.
