JULY 25, 2022
On the occasion of July 26 National Rebellion Day of Cuba, which this year commemorates the 69th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, the Association of Mongolian Students Graduated in Cuba, congratulates the Cuban government and people and reiterates its solidarity with Cuba and its people in the difficult economic times and the siege that it is going through.
Since Mongolia and Cuba established diplomatic relations, some 150 Mongolians have graduated from Cuban educational institutions and this year 2022 the Island, despite its difficulties, once again offered some Mongolian students scholarships to study free of charge at Cuban Universities.
Despite its economic problems, the Cuban government continues to offer its cooperation to other peoples of the world in sensitive sectors such as health and education. We were lucky to have received that solidarity offered by Cuba, to have been trained in that country, to live and share with young people and the Cuban people in general. During our student lives in Cuba we were able to see, feel and receive multiple expressions of friendship and generosity from the Cuban government and people.
Today the whole world is facing an extremely difficult stage after more than two years of the Covid-19 pandemic and the current international recession and inflation due to the international geopolitical situation.
Additionally, the Cuban people continue to be subjected to the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States, which has been intensified in recent years with more than 245 measures that seriously affect the standard of living, health and consumption of the Cuban people. Cuba relies on its own resources and has a limited economy.
This is not the time for hostility, harassment, or blockades, but for friendship, solidarity and cooperation. The hostile and cruel policy of the United States Blockade against Cuba that continues for several decades must cease for being inhumane, extraterritorial and violating the norms of International Law, international norms on free trade and the sovereignty and laws of third countries.
