A delegation from the Ministry of Education of Cuba, headed by the First Deputy Minister of the field, Cira Piñeiro Alonso, arrived in South Africa to hold an official visit to this sister nation, with which the Caribbean island maintains important cooperation relations in education. since 2002.
Currently Under the Cooperation Agreement signed in 2019, 20 Education professionals, specialized in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 4 of the 9 provinces, provide services in South Africa.
The Cuban delegation will develop an extensive Work and Visits Program in which its members will exchange with the South African Department of Basic Education on the strategic priorities of both governments in this sector.
The visit will be a propitious space to reinforce cooperative relations and diversify it towards other areas such as Primary, Technical and Professional Education, Information and Communication Technology, among other aspects.
