A delegation of 5 important businessmen from Mongolia and associates from Hong Kong, China, began a several-day visit to Cuba on the 28th to attend the XXIV Habano’s Festival and explore trade and investment opportunities.
They participate in activities of the XXIV Habano Festival, which takes place in Havana from February 26 to March 1, 2024 and will carry out a program of visits to various Cuban and joint ventures companies.
Yesterday afternoon they were welcomed at the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba by its Vice President, Mrs. Tania Aguiar Fernández, accompanied by the International Relations specialist, Mrs. Luisa Martínez. The Mongolian ambassador in Havana was also present.
They will meet, among others, with the Commercial Vice President of Corporación Habanos S.A., with the Vice Minister of Energy and Mines, Directors of the Ministry of Agriculture and will visit the Special Development Zone of Mariel.
Likewise, they will visit the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Group (BioCubaFarma) and the Business Group of Biological and Pharmaceutical Laboratories (LABIOFAM).
They will learn about vaccines and other innovative Cuban bioproducts, environmentally friendly, such as biofertilizers, biopeticides, rodenticides, etc. that could be useful in agriculture and livestock in Mongolia.
Both countries are interested in continuing developing their historic friendly and cooperative relations that date back to 1960, expanding them in trade, investment and cooperation.
