Tehran, May 5, 2019. Sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the forum "Unilateralism and International Law in the contemporary world: approaches and challenges" was held, attended by senior government officials and Persian Foreign Ministry , members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tehran, as well as organizations of the Iranian civil society.
During the forum, the Ambassador of Cuba, Alexis Bandrich made a presentation in which he denounced the use of unilateral coercive measures as an instrument of the policy of the United States against Cuba in its obsession to destroy the Revolution, the damage caused to our noble and brave people for the blockade and emphasized the recent application of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act. The Cuban diplomat called on the international community to stand up and demand that the United States put an end to this policy and to the attempts to extend it to the jurisdiction of other countries, reiterating our commitment to multilateralism, peace and global disarmament. and reaffirmed the will of the Cubans to face any difficulty while continuing to move towards a more just, prosperous and sustainable society.
