Helsinki, May 14th, 2019 – The First Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, was received this Tuesday in the headquarters of the Finish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Matti Anttonen, Permanent State Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister to this European country.

During the meeting, which was held in a cordial environment, both sides expressed their satisfaction with the good state of their bilateral relations and the prospects for their strengthening. On that note, they indicated their willingness to work together on the enhancement of political dialogue, cooperation and exchange in areas of common interest, and highlighted the positive development of Cuba-EU relations during the first year of implementation of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement.  Both parties also discussed the major items of the bilateral and multilateral agenda.
