Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Australian Parliament receives Ambassador of Cuba

Canberra, August 11, 2023. The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Australian Parliament today received the Cuban Ambassador to Australia. 

During the exchange, the diplomat thanked the parliamentarian for her work in her capacity as President of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, as well as Australia's position against the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade imposed against Cuba. 

The meeting was propitious to exchange on the potential for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the areas of education and health, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
