Díaz-Canel and Felipe VI hold official conversations.

Havana, November 12, 2019.- The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received this tuesday at the Palace of the Revolution of this capital to the Kings of Spain.

At the ceremony, the respective anthems of both nations were sung, and Díaz-Canel and Felipe VI reviewed the Honor Guard and exchanged greetings with the members of both delegations. Then, they held official conversations.

" In the cordial meeting we recognized the existing positive bilateral relations, based on historical family and cultural ties that we will strengthen," the cuban President published on his twitter account.

Later, with the presence of President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and His Majesty Felipe VI, King of Spain, as well as the members of the respective official delegations that accompany them, was held the official act of signing the Agreement for International Development Cooperation between Cuba and Spain for the period of 2019-2022.

This document was signed by Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, and Josep Borrell Fontelles, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain.

For its part, the Queen, Mrs. Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, accompanied by the wife of the Cuban Head of State, Lis Cuesta Peraza, toured colonial Havana.
