The director of the Center for Medical and Surgical Research (CIMEQ), Dr. Roberto Castellanos Gutiérrez, visited the General Hospital for Special Servants of the State of Mongolia, accompanied by the Cuban ambassador, Jorge Ferrer.
Dr. Castellanos reciprocated the visit made to CIMEQ by the director of the hospital, Dr. Khurelbaatar Bat-Ireedui, last March, on the occasion of the visit to Cuba of the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia.
The Director of CIMEQ was received and met with the Director of this health center, the Head of the Department of Training, Research and Cooperation, Mr. Tesend-Ayush and other executives. Both parties discussed the interests of cooperation and professional and information exchange of their respective institutions.
The Director of CIMEQ also visited the areas of the Department of Natural and Traditional Medicine of the Center and shared information about the clinical, teaching, scientific research activities and the International Health Service of CIMEQ.
He also explained the areas of natural and traditional medicine and the work of CIMEQ in the field of organ transplants. He also referred to the program of research and clinical trials of new Cuban biotechnology drugs for the treatment of cancer and other diseases, in collaboration with BioCubaFarma centers.
