The director of the Medical Surgical Research Center (CIMEQ), Dr. Roberto Castellanos Gutiérrez, visited INTERMED Hospital, accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, and met with its executive director, Mr. Nyamtogtokh.Ya and other executives.
During the meeting, a video was shown with the history, characteristics, operation, capabilities, as well as the development and perspectives of INTERMED and its network of clinics in this capital and other provinces.
The Director of CIMEQ also toured areas of the expansion and modernization of INTERMED hospital, the largest and most modern private health center in Mongolia, which is part of MCS, the largest Mongolian business group.
The Cuban medical director shared information about hospital activities, teaching up to the doctoral level, CIMEQ's research and scientific publications with prestigious centers in other countries and the International Health Service.
He also discussed CIMEQ's extensive research and clinical trials program for the treatment of various types of cancer and other diseases, in collaboration with centers of BioCubaFarma, the main business group of the Cuban medical and pharmaceutical industries.
He also discussed CIMEQ's work in organ transplants, where it has performed more than 200 liver transplants, more than 400 kidney transplants, as well as pancreas, heart and lung transplants.
Both parties also discussed the modalities of cooperation and professional and information exchange of their respective institutions with centers in third countries.
