Director of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Finnish Foreign Ministry receives Chargé d'Affaires a.i of Cuba
Helsinki, August 12.- The Director of the Department of Latin America and the Caribbean of the General Directorate for the Americas and Asia of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Anu Vuori-Kiikeri received the Charge d'Affaires a.i of the Embassy of Cuba in Finland, Víctor Rodríguez Etcheverry.
During the positive meeting, Vuori-Kiikeri welcomed the Cuban diplomat. The Director recalled the visit to Helsinki of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González in 2019 as an expression of Cuba's will to continue developing the exchange ties between both countries, an essential element to continue deepening the political dialogue between Cuba and Finland.
Rodríguez Etcheverry, by the other side, thanked the Finnish authorities for the warm welcome and reiterated the will to continue working to strengthen relations between the two ministries, with the inter-foreign ministry political consultation mechanism as an essential element to achieve this purpose.
Present at the exchange was, on the Finnish side, the Counselor and Head of the team that attends Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, Katja Karppinen-Njock.
