Helsinki, August 9, 2022.- In a meeting held this Tuesday at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, spoke with Mr. Juha Markkanen, Director of "Team Finland", Export Unit and Promotion of International Trade.
The Cuban diplomat highlighted the potential of the Island for foreign investment and economic collaboration; at the same time, she learned about the functioning of TEAM Finland, based on the interests of local businessmen. At another point in the dialogue, Parra referred to the new actors introduced in the national economy with the creation of more than a thousand MSMEs throughout the country and the potential offered by the Mariel Special Development Zone.
For his part, Mr. Juha Markkanen, thanked the exchange and was interested in learning about the situation in Matanzas, while expressing solidarity with the Cuban people for the effects generated in this province. Also participating in this meeting was Counselor Katja Karppinen, Cuba specialist at the Finnish Foreign Ministry.
