Helsinki, August 7, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba appreciates the messages of solidarity received from our compatriots in Finland and the Baltic countries, after the fire that started at the Supertanker Base in Matanzas, on August 5.
Repeated messages of encouragement and condolences have been sent by Cuban residents, expressing in a heartfelt way that love for the Homeland that unites and prevails in the most difficult times.
Many of them have joined the donation campaign for humanitarian aid to the country, despite the enormous limitations imposed by the region's banks, based on the illegitimate list of the US Department of State, which included Cuba among the states that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
Through the official user of the Embassy of Cuba in Finland in Twitter, the message "#FuerzaCuba the sincere love of your sons, supports you and accompanies you, even in the distance. #FuerzaMatanzas" has been reiterated, a reflection of that heartfelt solidarity that we have perceived.
