Embassy of Cuba attends the inauguration of the Iran Tourism and Handicraft Fair

Tehran, February 12, 2020. Invited by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Cuban Ambassador, Alexis Bandrich Vega, attended this morning the inauguration of the 13 International Tourism Exhibition and 33 National Craft Fair of Tehran, held from today until Saturday 15, in the "Persian Gulf" Hall of the permanent international fairground of the Persian capital.
 
The officials Tania Causse (Political, Commercial and Cooperation Affairs) and Junior Peñalver (Consular Affairs, Press and Culture), accompanied the Cuban ambassador and exchanged with several exhibiting travel agencies, interested in promoting the destination Cuba among Iranian tourists.

From a tourist point of view, Iran enjoys an exceptional geographical location as it acts as a bridge that connects European and African countries with Asia, as well as the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region. Iran is engaged in the development of various types of tourism, such as historical, cultural, natural, pilgrimage, adventure tourism, water sports and winter sports.
