THE EMBASSY OF CUBA BID FAREWELL TO NINE VINCENTIAN STUDENTS, WHO BENEFITED FROM THE HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTED BY THE CUBAN GOVERNMENT

The Embassy of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated the farewell of the 9 Vincentians students, who benefited from higher education scholarships, granted by the Cuban Government.

In the activity, along with the Chief of the Cuban Mission, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, present were; Mr. Nathaniel Williams, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Regional Integration of San Vicente Affairs, Mr. Ellsworth John, Director of Regional Integration of the Foreign Ministry and appointed Ambassador in Cuba, officials of the Commission services of the Office of the Prime Minister, representatives of the Association of Graduates in Cuba and the Association of Cuban residents and parents and relatives of students .

In her message, the Ambassador told students that in Cuba they will find a strengthened and brave health system, that has learned to do a lot with little, it has learned to use wit and heart to achieve what seems impossible, in the midst of the hardships and shortages imposed by the US blockade against the island.

The diplomat said doctors today are formed in Cuba are prepared to practice in all circumstances, because they receive in their hands, their minds and their hearts, the necessary tools to save, heal and prevent in the most varied situations that life will present.

In their speeches the Permanent Secretary Nathaniel Williams and Ambassador Ellsworth John, thanked the Cuban government for their solidarity and cooperation in various fields, despite the tight economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US While referring the enormous progress made by Cuba during the years of revolution and hoped for the students that along with the academic knowledge, they also be imbued with the spirit, combativeness and qualities, that characterize Cubans.
