The Cuban Embassy in Mongolia held an activity for the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution with friends from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, businessmen, journalists, artists, profesionals graduated in Cuba and others.
Among those attending were Mr. A. Amgalan, director general of the Americas, Middle East and Oceania of the Foreign Ministry and Mr. Ganbat Purev, President of the Mongolian Union of Artists (UMA). Dr. CH. Dambajav (Khamba Lama), Vice President of the World Buddhist Sangha Council also participated.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Jorge Ferrer said that Cuba celebrates the 66th anniversary of the triumph of its Revolution which achieved independence and sovereignty for the first time, after more than 100 years of struggle against foreign presence and intervention.
The Ambassador said that 2024 was a year of great challenges for Cuba due to the continuation of the US blockade, which aims to destroy the Cuban people due to a lack of food and medicine and overthrow their government. He thanked the Mongolian support in condemning the blockade.
He reaffirmed the will to continue the Revolution, demonstrated by the recent march of more than 500 thousand people in Havana, to demand the end of the US blockade and the exclusion from the unilateral list of countries that sponsor terrorism.
He thanked to Mongolia the donation of food to Cuba in 2024, the visit of the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs, the signing of two Legal Assistance agreements and the participation in the Habano´s Festival and the Havana Biennial.
He recalled the visit of three Cuban delegations to Mongolia: Deputy Mariela Castro, from MInistry of Energy and Mining and the CIMEQ Hospital, and that 2025 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Cuban Ambassador concluded that the recent solidarity donation from students and workers of the CITI University is a clear message that Cuba is not alone and that solidarity cannot be blocked.
