The Embassy of Cuba in Mongolia held a meeting with Cuban-Mongol families and other Cuban temporary residents to celebrate the new year and the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and to report on the debates of the IV Conference The Nation and Emigration and the recent economic measures adopted by the Cuban government.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, highlighted that the Revolution has more virtues than shadows and that, despite the difficulties due to the continuity of the US blockade and its errors, typical of any human work, only the Revolution made possible numerous benefits for the Cubans and other peoples of the world.
He highlighted the presence of the President of Cuba and other Ministers at the IV Conference The Nation and Emigration, the representativeness of the participants, some of the issues raised by the attendees and explanations given by Cuban leaders.
He highlighted the recognition at that event of the important contribution of numerous Cuban organizations to the fight against the blockade and their solidarity aid to alleviate its effects.
He recalled the immigration measures adopted last year to reduce the consular fee for the issuance of passports, the elimination of their extensions and the extension of their validity to 10 years for adults. He added that the moratorium on the two-year limit on the stay of Cuban residents abroad remains in force, as well as the exemption from customs duties for the import of food, medicines and toiletries that was extended until March 31.
He invited those present to contribute their opinions and suggestions on what more can be done to continue strengthening and developing the relations of Cuban emigrants with their Homeland.
