The Embassy of Cuba in Mongolia hold an activity with journalists who covered the Summit of the Group of 77 plus China held in Havana in September 2023

The Embassy of Cuba in Mongolia organized an activity to thank the journalists who covered the Summit of the Group of 77 plus China, held in Havana and the visit of the Mongolian President in September 2023.

Professionals from more than a dozen public and private media outlets who traveled to Cuba or who collaborate with the Embassy attended. Mr. Ganbat Purev, President of the Union of Mongolian Artists (UMA) was also present.

The Cuban ambassador, Jorge Ferrer, thanked them for the extensive, diverse and objective written and audiovisual coverage of the G77 Summit on Science, Technology and Innovation and of Cuba and other collaborative actions with the Embassy.

He highlighted reports on the Cuban scholarship program, friendly bilateral relations, Mongolian medical students, the Hemingway house-museum, the US blockade and other charms of Havana and the Cuban people.

The diplomat also updated them on Cuba, bilateral relations and the steps are being taking to continue expanding and strengthening them, especially in economic, trade and cooperation matters.

The Mongolian journalists gave the Cuban Ambassador a limited edition scarf on the occasion of the participation of the President of Mongolia in the G77 Summit in Havana in September 2023. The piece has images of the Presidents and the Coats of Arms of both countries, of an edition of gold and silver coins issued by the Mongolian Central Bank in tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro and a photo of him with the then president of Mongolia, Yu. Tsedenbal during his visit to the island in 1972.
