Embassy of Cuba in South Africa holds Quarterly Meeting at DIRCO

Pretoria, November 24, 2022.- The ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, was received by the Director of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean from the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Fransie Cooper, in order to carry out a periodic review of the main issues of bilateral interest.

During the cordial meeting, the excellent level of political relations was confirmed, as well as the need to continue expanding and diversifying cooperation in economic-commercial matters. Both parties recognized the importance of bilateral ties, translated into 28 years of fruitful relations between the two governments.

The recent visit to Havana of the South AfricanDeputy Minister of Public Works, NoxoloKiviet, for the strengthening of cooperation in this sector, was praised, as well as her participation in the thirty-eighth International Fair of Havana.
