Pretoria, October 12, 2022.- The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in South Africa, Bryan Betancourt Brito, and the Diplomatic Attaché, Lauren Luis Acosta, offered a lecture about Cuba at the University of Pretoria. It was organized by the university Spanish Chair for the promotion of characteristic elements of Cuban culture and identity, as well as for the exchange of experiences with students who are part of that university.
The presentation addressed fundamental aspects of Cuban history and culture, as well as the achievements of the Revolution in terms of health and education. In a pleasant exchange with the students, they were able to learn about the main cities of Cuba, our music and typical clothing, as well as our most deeply rooted traditions.
There was also space for an exchange on the current situation in Cuba and the impact of the blockade as the main obstacle to the development of the Cuban people.
