Embassy of Cuba in South Africa pays tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí

Pretoria, January 24, 2023.- With the projection of the film "El ojo del canario" at the Embassy headquarters, a series of activities to remember our National Hero, José Martí, began on the 170th anniversary of his birth.

The opening remarks were given by Ambassador Enrique Orta González, who highlighted that the film allows an approach to the human Martí, the child and adolescent who at a very early age discovered his immense humanist vocation and his desires for a free Cuba.

Officials and employees of the Embassy participated in the display of this film, as well as members of the collaboration brigades that operate in the country.
