Embassy of Cuba in South Africa receives South Africa's National Poet Laureate Mongane Wally Serote

Pretoria, August 30, 2022.- The official for Press and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Cuba in South Africa, Lauren Luis Acosta, received today the visit of the South Africa's National Poet Laureate, Mongane Wally Serote.

The famous poet recalled the close friendship between Fidel and Mandela, as a paradigm for the relationship between Cuba and South Africa.

The excellent level of cultural relations between the two countries was highlighted during the meeting. As well, both parties expressed the interest in continue strengthening ties in this area.
