The Embassy of Cuba to the United Kingdom commemorated today the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, with an emotional celebration. Ambassador Teresita Vicente Sotolongo delivered the central speech, and the Hon. Ms. Francesca Flessati, Deputy Director of Protocol of The Foreign and Commonwealth Office spoke on behalf of the British Government.
The event was attended by the Cuban Minister of Higher Education José Ramón Saborido who was leading our delegation to the Education World Forum in this capital. Members of both Chambers of the British Parliament, representatives of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, the Cuba Solidarity Campaign, Cubanos en UK, businessmen, all the staff of the Cuban State Mission and friends in general also participated.
The national anthems of both countries were brilliantly interpreted in piano, in a festive and solidary atmosphere in greeting to such an important occasion for all the Cuban friends.
