Mbabane, May 03, 2025.- The Political Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, Frank Silva Hernández, together with the Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Yulian Reyes Caballero, paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Eswatini, where they held fruitful meetings with representatives of the Swazi government and the Cuban medical brigade deployed there.
The Cuban delegation was received by the Principal Sub Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with whom they discussed Cuba's foreign policy priorities, including the denunciation of the blockade. The Swazi counterpart reaffirmed the historic support for Cuba in the vote on the resolution against this criminal policy. At the same time, they discussed the possibilities of increasing bilateral cooperation, especially in the biopharmaceutical and health sectors.
They also held meetings with Dr. Velephi Okello, Director of Health Services of the Kingdom and with members of the Cuban medical brigade, with whom they exchanged on national current affairs.
