On 08/25, the Cuban Ambassador to the United States, Lianys Torres, concluded a working visit to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was able to exchange with elected officials and members of the community about the possibilities of cooperation between Cuba and the United States.
The reception in the city was incredible, as well as the interest shown by the community in developing ties with Cuba. Similarly, the counterparts were updated about the impact of the blockade on the Cuban people and all of them were against the immoral inclusion of Cuba on the list of states sponsor of terrorism drawn up by the State Department.
The visit, organized thanks to the efforts of the local solidarity group Pittsburgh-Matanzas Sister Cities Partnership, was a success and laid the foundations for future exchanges in the city with both Cuba and the Embassy.
